  COVID-19: Currently, the Tri-County Community Action Agency Elder, Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing program is in operation with all advocates working and all contact numbers the same. Advocates are working from home. The elder advocates, Ray and Roberta, are checking their messages daily. Bill will also be available in the office. His direct number is 401-519-1916. Aimee and Bonnie, advocates for individuals who are deaf, have their video phones and text lines connected to their homes so they can be reached directly. We are currently providing all of our core victim services.

  Description

  The Tri-County Community Action Agency Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) provides supplemental foods, healthcare referrals and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk. Upon enrollment into the WIC program, we will complete a nutritional assessment for you and your eligible family members. We will then offer education on healthy eating, monthly vouchers for nutritious foods including eggs, milk, cheese, peanut butter, beans, tuna, fruits, vegetables, whole grain breads, rice, iron fortified cereals, and juice as well as many other valuable resources. Breastfeeding and lactation support and education are also available through the WIC program. Eligibility Guidelines * Based on Family Size 1 – $22,311 annually 2 – $30,044 annually 3 – $37,777 annually 4 – $45,510 annually 5 – $53,243 annually 6 – $60,976 annually 7 – $68,709 annually 8 – $76,442 annually
