The DHS Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is Rhode Island’s child care subsidy program that helps eligible families pay for child care. To participate in the program parents must apply to the Department of Human Services (DHS) and meet certain eligibility and criteria. Once approved, the parent chooses a provider to care for their children from an extensive list of CCAP approved providers.
