Nurse-Family Partnership is a national evidence-based maternal and child home visiting service for expectant first-time mothers and their newborns. We pair expectant mothers with a registered nurse, who provides free, intensive home visiting services for the mother and her child until the child’s second birthday.

First Connections services high risk moms and their children from birth to age three. Families are identified through the birthing hospitals as high risk and in need of community support. The intent is to reach all new moms within seven days after delivery or within 24 hours if the mom is “High Priority ”Pregnant women.

Healthy Families America is a national evidence-based maternal and child home visiting service. HFA pairs expectant mothers or families with newborns with a Family Support Worker, who provides free home visiting services to the family and their child until the child’s fourth birthday.

-Houses a drop in center (clothing, referrals/linkages, translation for families), no fee.
-Home visiting programs focusing on child development and parenting (Early Head Star)- federal and state funding
-Child Care Center (infant, toddler and preschool)- DHS childcare fees, self payees
-Counseling (traditional outpatient with the ability to do home visits)-bills insurance, sliding scale
-Family preservation services (home visiting for DCYF involved families including substance affected families)-statewide, no cost to client
-Early intervention; 0-3 years of age and families, children at risk of delays or with disabilities- statewide, bills insurance, DHS

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Program provides food vouchers, allowing them to purchase milk, eggs, cheese, juice and iron fortified cereals and formula. The WIC coordinator provides nutrition education and counseling to all program participants on a monthly basis.
