Other services include counseling, financial assistance and world wide communication programs for military families and veterans. In addition to emergency response, the American Red Cross also provides educational programs designed to help people prepare for and prevent emergencies with Health and Safety programs in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillation (A.E.D.); water safety swimming training; health training for special health projects such as AIDS education.
